This is a limited collection zine/ book of a little story I have illustrated during inktober 2021. « Yara-Why - not so scary monster » is a story about a kind monster who wants to change the world!
The character was inspired by Australian Aboriginal Mythology: Yara-Ma-Yha-Who is a frog-like man with big head, no teeth and suckers on the hands and feet, that lives in a fig tree.
You will find 31 words accompanied by illustrations in black and white with bursts of color, and of course, the whole story written by me.
Inktober was created by Jake Parker in 2009 to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits by drawing one ink piece each day of October.
Ever since then, artists from all over the world join Inktober each year.
❤ The Zine comes numbered and includes a small print, printed on high quality textured watercolor paper! It is a book of 24 pages.
